Matrix Refractories Division is a manufacturer of monolithic refractories designed specifically for molten aluminum processing. Matrix provides the most advanced, cost-effective refractories and engineering designs for the aluminum manufacturing process. Specific applications are for molten metal contact in furnaces, ladles, and crucibles, as well as troughing and filtration systems. Matrix also manufactures unique dry refractories in both dense and insulative formulations for application in carbon-bake furnace systems, smelting cells, and die-cast furnaces.

Founded in 1990, Matrix maintains manufacturing, warehouse, and office space at the facilities of Allied Mineral Products, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, who operates Matrix Refractories as a wholly owned division.

Matrix employs direct sales representatives, coupled with a network of distributors and contractors who stock and market the products throughout the USA and Canada.

In addition to export sales, Matrix Refractories supplies its products globally through Allied's international manufacturing locations in Tianjin, China; Milan, Italy; and Johannesburg, South Africa.
